FC Santa Claus’ domination had extended from Finland into Europe as they won their maiden domestic title and topped the Europa Conference League league phase at a canter. But manager Kris Kringle wasn’t satisfied with that and wanted to take the club to new heights.
The level of player we’re talking about was proven by striker Rudolph Red-Nosed Reindeer winning Best FIFA Men’s Player and World Player of the Year after scoring 74 goals in 40 games in 2025. While winger Dancer Reindeer won European Golden Boy and striker Comet Reindeer won U21 Player of the Year. They were joined by another serious talent as Kringle delivered on chairperson Papa Elf’s demand for big spending and high profile transfers. He shelled out a huge new record transfer of £63m on Bologna’s Spanish wonderkid Lamine Yamal then sold the troublesome Lautaro for £8.5m to Crystal Palace.
For an idea of just how good these youngsters are becoming, scroll through the starting 11 below along with the tactic Kringle has had them playing in for the last 2 seasons:
Seeking European Glory
FC Santa Claus took their place in the last 16 of the Conference League and were drawn with APOEL Nicosia. The biggest threats in the tournament look like being Sassuolo, Freiburg, Sheff U and Besiktas.
The knockouts began in typically high-scoring manner as Comet’s brace led a 7-3 victory in Cyprus then Rudolph bagged a hat trick in a 7-1 home win. Next up was Trabzonspor and they were more controlled than usual in a 4-0 home win with goals by midfielders Cupid Reindeer and Vixen Reindeer and strikers Rudolph and Comet, who scored twice in a 3-1 victory in Turkey to send them into the semis.
The last 4 gave Kringle’s side their biggest test yet against Sassuolo while Sheff U took on Besiktas. The home leg was up first and even a decent Serie A team couldn’t live with the Santa’s Elves attack. Rudolph laid on 2 goals for Comet before Prancer drilled home from Vixen’s free kick. Rudolph nicked the ball to score within 15 seconds of the restart before Comet sealed his hat trick. That took any pressure off the away leg and they eased to a 4-1 win. FC Santa Claus were in the ECL Final!

The biggest match in FC Santa Claus history took them to Scotland to face Sheffield United, who’d just been relegated from the Premier League with Chelsea, on 27 May 2026. Kringle lined up:
Father Christmas; Elf, Blitzen, Donner, Dasher; Prancer, Cupid, Vixen, Dancer; Rudolph, Comet
Subs: Lautaro, Seimen, Boselli, Veloso, Endrick, Yamal, Barco, Licina, Cosimo, Saranpaa, Moilanen-Kajander, Smith

Santa’s Elves dominated from the first kick and soon got their reward as Comet turned home from Dancer’s pass. 13 minutes later, Prancer jinked past 2 tackles and curled home a delicious finish. And 12 shots to 0 at half time had Kringle’s reindeer in full control. A wonderful move 5 minutes after the break ended up with Cupid, whose low drive killed the game off before Comet powered home 3 quickfire headers to send a message to the rest of Europe: Santa’s Elves are coming for you.
FC Santa Claus won the Europa Conference League!!
Comet was the star of the ECL with a record 22 goals and 8.64 average rating while Prancer led the way with a record 17 assists followed by Dancer with 16. The ECL victory saw Santa’s Elves named the most improved team in Europe, surging 469 places up to 81st in the club rankings. It also lifted Finland 10 places to 26th in the European coefficients, just 1 place behind Norway and 3 above Sweden.
FC Santa Claus In The Champions League!
Kringle’s ambitions lay well beyond the ECL as their league title took them into the Champions Path 1st qualifying round just 6 weeks after winning ECL. They began with a trip to Montenegro to face Sutjeska and did so in style, racking up 47 shots, 25 on target, 8.15 xG and 15 goals. Their first home game set a new CL attendance record as 171,056 people turned up for another annihilation. They raced into a 10-0 lead inside 24 minutes but calmed down to lead 12-0 at the break and win 16-0 after racking up an incredible 54 shots, 28 on target and 9.95 xG.

More of the same followed as they racked up a 15-1 aggregate win over Georgian side Dinamo Batumi and a 16-2 aggregate victory over NK Maribor. That put FC Santa Claus 180 minutes away from the group stage against KF Tirana in the CL Playoff. And it wasn’t in doubt as Santa’s Elves strolled to a 10-1 home win led by Rudolph bagging 4 and a fully rotated side won 7-2 away.
A busy 2026 had seen FC Santa Claus not only win a European trophy and move themselves into the Champions League group stage, but also dominate domestically again. Kringle’s side won their 2nd Veikkausliiga, scoring 161 goals in 27, and a 3rd Suomen Cup. But a mass of international call ups (27) saw them finally drop points in a 3-3 at HJK in the penultimate game of the championship group.
The end of the domestic season saw Comet and Rudolph tied on a ludicrous 76 goals in 43 games with Comet edging Rudolph by 23 assists to 19. They were followed by Vixen (23), Prancer and Donner (20) and Dancer and Cupid (18 and 17). Prancer led the assists with a crazy 50 in 39 followed by Dancer (47), Elf (26) and Vixen and Cupid (23).
