Truro City were beginning to feel very comfortable in the SkyBet Championship as, following two unsuccessful playoff campaigns, Perran Trevelyan and his exciting young squad prepared for a sixth season in the second tier of English football.
Over the last 12 seasons, Truro City had risen from the Vanarama National League South to being one penalty kick away from the Premier League. Ultimately, a couple of missed penalties were their downfall, and they settled for a fifth season in the SkyBet Championship.
Truro City recorded an 11th successive club record high finish under local hero Perran Trevelyan as they finished 9th in the SkyBet Championship in 2034. But the summer looked set to be one of change as the manager looked to further strengthen his young squad.
Local hero Perran Trevelyan had led Truro City to eight consecutive club record high finishes and a second cup competitions as they won the EFL Trophy in 2031. And he was keen to develop his young squad to build on last season's League One playoff place.
