Empoli had made a solid start to the 2023/24 Serie A campaign as, despite a seven-match losing streak, we found ourselves firmly in mid-table heading into the new year. The hard work continued now as we looked to avoid the risk of a relegation battle.
In part one of Gli Azzurri, we gave you a brief introduction to Empoli FC, ran through the board and supporter expectations and met the players available to us in the FM24 Beta. Now we'll look to play our first matches of FM24 with Empoli.

Heading into 2032, Cagliari Calcio were being well and truly carried into the top half of Serie A by the goals of star striker Thomas De Lucia. The Italian, our newly appointed vice-captain, had scored more than half of our goals.
I'd just enjoyed a summer of soaking up the rays in the beautiful surroundings of my new home in Sardinia. But there was plenty of work to be done in the summer of 2031 to rebuild a Cagliari side lacking quality and, importantly, money.
We moved into our 16th season in charge of Atalanta having not only won a 10th successive Serie A title, but also gone an entire league season unbeaten and become the greatest manager of all time by lifting the Euro Cup.
