Djurgårdens IF enjoyed the greatest season in the club's 148-year history as Zambian manager Trebor Mahtal led them to their 14th Swedish title and maiden European trophy. The Stockholm islanders claimed a Europa Conference League crown that saw them named the most improved team in Europe.
A move back to Sweden had worked out quite nicely for Trebor Mahtal as he led Djurgårdens into a close title race, but narrowly missed out to two of their rivals. But the hard work began now as he looked to rebuild a squad that was blighted by plenty of deadwood.
After three years of failing to usurp København in Denmark, Trebor Mahtal stepped down as manager of FC Midtjylland and went back on the hunt for a new opportunity on his EuroTrip.
