After nine years in the Championship and 11 years in charge of Bolton Wanderers, we'd led the club back to the Premier League as Champions in 2031. Now we had a huge task on our hands to strengthen the squad for a relegation battle.
Our reign in Milan had gotten off to a solid yet unspectacular start in which we we were seriously lacking goals in the first 30 or so games in Football Manager 2021. Our main source of goals, however, was the 39-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic!
With another season of European football to come at Elland Road, we headed into the 2023/24 campaign in a confident mood and with more exciting youngsters establishing themselves as first choices.
