With a second successive Bundesliga title in the bag and an invincible season behind us, it was time to reflect on next steps and goals of this Journeyman save. I'm still excited about the potential of this Borussia Dortmund squad, but the key next challenge is to win that elusive Champions League for the first time - 16 years into the save!
Borussia Dortmund saw off a stern test from Bayern Munich to seal their second successive Bundesliga title with an unbeaten season in 2034/35 - emulating the achievement we managed with Valencia in 2028/29.
My first season with Borussia Dortmund had been an unmitigated success as I wrapped up my 9th domestic title with a third club. We eventually won Bundesliga by 12 points from Bayern Munich, winning our last 12 league games in the process.
After a few months focusing on managing England in the Nations League, we took advantage of a mini manager merry-go-round to take the reigns at Borussia Dortmund. And, pleasingly, it also takes me to my favourite club in Germany having previously done so in Portugal and Spain.
