After 17 seasons of life in-game on Football Manager 2020, I'd just wrapped up my 11th league title and my third in three years in Germany with Borussia Dortmund.
Borussia Dortmund moved into 2036 narrowly behind Bayer Leverkusen at the top of Bundesliga, with perennial challengers Bayern Munich lingering. And our strong form was being inspired by a watertight defence that conceded just five times in the first 16 league games.
With a second successive Bundesliga title in the bag and an invincible season behind us, it was time to reflect on next steps and goals of this Journeyman save. I'm still excited about the potential of this Borussia Dortmund squad, but the key next challenge is to win that elusive Champions League for the first time - 16 years into the save!
